What does "Cultured" mean?
It is common practice to make Ghee using cream or malai. "Culturing" is the process of inoculating cream or Milk with a natural curd starter to undergo fermentation to make Curd (Yogurt) or Dahi. This Curd is then churned to separate the white butter (Makhan), which is then heated and clarified to make Ghee.
Is A2 good? Also, what is A2?
A2 is a type of Beta Casein protein in Milk of the Zebu breed of Cows native to some countries, including India. A2 Ghee is the Ghee made from the Milk of Indigenous breed cows - there are many breeds like Gir, Sahiwal, Rathi, Kankrej, Tharparkar, Khillari, Vechur etc.
Is there any added sugar or preservatives in this Ghee?
There are no added sugar or preservatives in this Ghee.
What type of Milk is used in A2 Ghee, and why is it beneficial?
The Ghee is extracted from the Curd of Gir Cow's Milk. Gir Cows are an indigenous breed from the Thar Desert of India. These cows are grass-fed, not factory farmed and are free from any cross-breeding. The Milk (A2) obtained from these cows is high in nutrition and low in fat content, making this Ghee the best choice for regular consumption.
What is the difference between A2 Ghee and regular Ghee?
A2 Ghee is made up of A2 Milk only, whereas regular Ghee is made of both A1 and A2 milk. The significant difference between regular Milk and A2 Milk is that regular Milk contains both A1 and A2 (forms of beta-casein), whereas A2 Milk may contain only A2 beta-casein. A2 Milk is beneficial for overall health and is easier to digest.
